Gunthar does not have a pony strideI think because of his shoulder
angle. I rode one pony (non-Fjord) that had that short stride. HOrrible!
When he stopped it felt like I was going to go straight over his head.

My Gus has a fairly nice trot but for someone used to riding big horses,
they would consider it choppy...it is a 'pony' stride, but
smooth.now his canter used to be really bad, but with work, it has
gotten back that rocking horse quality..

My Gunthar is a drafty US version. His trot is incredibly smooth. His
canter is terrible. He has a very nicely laid back shoulder and a long
back, and a weak back end. The people I purchased him from had relatives in
