When riding I know you can turn the horse's head to your knee and make
an emergency stop. Is there anything like that utilized while driving?
What do you do if your horse starts to run and does not respond to the
bit?

What you
won't have with a
fjord, in most cases, is a horse that bucks/rears/bolts.
I agree that Fjords are very charming but I have to
disagree with the statement that they don't rear/buck/bolt.
I personally had an experience

I also would like to add that that is not the only incident
I had with this particular horse. During training, she
spooked quite a few times while skidding logs and almost
ran me over with the log. She also rah with the cart with
the trainer

Fjord is harnessed and trotting along, head turned back
talking to his
driver.
I'd like a snappy caption / phrase that the Fjord is
saying to his driver.
I have a couple of ideas:
Is it dinnertime yet?
So, where are we going

In addition, there are so few fjords in the U.S., why not put out
more REAL fjords?
I owned 2 Fjords until recently and I was inundated with criticism
about the Fjord breed. I understand that in certain areas there is a
need for driving

I am interested in the evaluations at Galena. Where in
Galena are they going to be? I have a 15 yr old mare that
is in training and I have never been to one before. I would
like to go to one and get some information on what to
prepare

I know my 10 yr old and my 15 yr old would be interested in
an association for kids. My 10 yr old has actively
participated in caring for and training the Fjords. Other
than in 4-H, he has no place to show. Most people around
here don't evn

I bought two mares late last year...one 4 yr old and i 14
yr old. They went through 30 days of drive training and
when I brought them home I had a similar experience. I
hitched them both up abd when I started them forward, they
started running
