I just had a look at the flexcoders archive and this issue has been
mentioned before by Dima Ulich,

know if there is a workaround and whether it was raised as a bug?

Thanks for the responses, how long does it usually take to implement a
hotfix?
We have been playing around with a datasource that has autocommit and
automerge set to false, but it appeared to be almost impossible to issue
merge() and commit() sequences without running into problems. Are there any
e gets committed to
the data source, it still receives and merges in Client 1's change and
therefore it displays the wrong data.
