Just did a quick test using my Agilent 4402 Analyzer & commercial 0.1 to 1.0 GHz
Log Periodic Test Antenna to sniff the air while I transmitted.
With the analyzer in peak hold mode, sending CW dashes after calibrating Tx
output with TEST to 1500 W, the analyzer displayed the peak of the RF envelop

anything we care to code. But there still needs to be some kind of
standard console (as Larry mentioned) as a common point of reference

This simple sentence from Larry, W0DZ solved my problem.
I just made the same mistake. Make sure you use two COM ports --
one for the SDR ,one for HRD. The vCOM driver will connect them to
each other.

I have been having my share of intermittent problems with the SDR but
this looks terminal. After the master oscillator being off a city
block, replaced, now on, but drift in the first 15 minutes, we were on
the air for a few months. I put 1.3.12 up this morning and no power out

effect on receive filtering. I cannot duplicate this. I also turned on
all of the
debugging and TX filter changes on the Setup->Transmit tab call the right
function which sets only the tx filter. RX filter changes

If you have only the original three board set, the RFE Installed check box
must be OFF on the Setup>General tab. Your description sounds like the
software expects the RFE board.

I have had my 100 watt SDR-1000 since the middle of March 2005. The
radio has performed flawlessly until today or at least this is the first
day that I noticed a serious problem. Given this is Field Day weekend,

I just reinstalled 1.3.12 and when the equalizer is activated the receive
audio changes drastically when the sliders are moved. Earlier I was
seeing the same when the transmit bandwidth was adjusted but now that I
reinstalled the software the equalizer now changes the audio.

I loaded up Phil's program, vCom, drivers. Loaded without a hitch except
it continues to connect to Com Ports 24 and 25, and the PowerSDR console
only will go only to port 20. I had edited the N8VBvCOM.inf to read below
before I installed. I did try to edit the registry to force port 8 an
