I knew i could bait you! (smile). I am sort of gobbled up by this
precision thing! I do have my GPS receiver and am ready for the 1 part to
the -13 (give or take a couple of exponents!). Can we take the 200 mhz
standard out of the SDR 1000 as is?

Youse guys are going to get Jim Lux into this again! (REALLY do love your
comments Jim). This is probably a do-able topic for early next year. Hey!
Why not long term aging, and Loran. Not kidding. Anything is possible in

You caught us... the Reflock II is going to fund the next TAPR board
retreat in the Bahamas. :-)
Actually, the prices are placeholders

Whoa, dudes... Are you sure that's not $100? Or is the FPGA some sort of
exotic expensive one or is there some proprietary IP used that has a steep
What about the pll locking systems from velalq ?
Is this any use?

No.. you really don't want an oscillator that can be adjusted...
What you want is a very finely programmable divider that gets adjusted so
that it tracks the oscillator's frequency. For instance, if you have a DDS
that puts out 10 MHz from a 200 MHz output, the notional
Flex radio owners are pretty darn smart. So, I'm asking for help that

As many of you know, I've been getting by with hopes of getting a
tower up this year.
My tower project received a series of setbacks over the last couple of days.

TWO HUNDRED surface mount parts and an unbalanced QSD design? Hm.
I will buy one just cause I have to and anyone who does a single band
design and uses a DDS should be whooped so that makes plenty of
sense. But I am anxious to look at the IP2 and the IP3 at large
frequencies,
Hi All
Haven't had time to give the results of my efforts to use a second
computer with N1MM to operate SO2R with the SDR1K. Anyway started ( SARTG
RTTY) with V1.3.12 with success, but random crashes of the computer running
PowerSDR. Gave up and replaced the SDR1K with an Icom 781 to

Eric
Lot size is a 2 acre, wooded lot. Not a lot of open space between
wooded areas, though. There is an open area in the back yard that is
probably 80 feet in diameter, plus or
Let me say that for the future AD9954 and AD9958 just look spectacular.
I have ordered the development boards for both of them. Especially on
the low bands, either of these would give spur performance where the
spurs are below the noise floor at all but sub multiples of the clock.
It is my

would definitely consider that.
