The RF gain control can be found in the setup panel under AGC. It is fully adjustable. The default value is 90. John P. Basilotto W5GI Marketing and Product Manager FlexRadio Systems Office 512-250-8595 Mobile 512-663-6727 -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTE

[Flexradio] RF gain control

2006-07-10 Thread John Basilotto
The RF gain control on K6JCA's console is really an IF gain control which works similarly to a conventional RF gain control except for two things. The level adjustment is in the IF stage and not the RF stage, and, the signal strength meter reading is not affected by the change in level as it is wit

John True it is not a real RF gain control. What I really like is it's implemintation on Jeff's front control panel instead of buried back in a setup menu.I do adjust the gain sometimes depending on signal, band, etc. and it is handy on the front. Duffy NA6MM __

Can the VOX On/Off control be moved to a keyboard key instead of a checkbox under several menus? This would make it easier to shut off VOX when someone walks into the shack. Also is there a way to play wav files into the TX for contesting? Love the SDR-1000 - Best money I ever spent! 73 de AC5N

If you can use K6JCA 's modded console he has the "vox" button on the front panel ( very handy ). You can dwnload it at http://www.hamsdr.com/dnld.aspx look at the very end of the last page. Read his "read me " files on how to properly add his files to the SDR 1K directory. I too luv my SDR

Since version 3.12 and 4.02 both work with the SDR-1000, and the registration price on 4.02 is 50% higher, is there any reason to buy 4.02? Aside from the fact that it is 64 bit compatible, the Release history only says "fixed some bugs". Does anyone know whether any of these were significant
