I've found this problem with USB connections. I simply unplug the device and
plug it back in then it usually connects. I'll look in to it, I do not know how
to make it more persistant at this time.

yep...I expect it is mem management or IRQ issues at this point on my end.
Flex sent me another usb cable and the problem persisted.
On the download section I think there is a utility to help diagnose this
issue but I haven't had time to try it out yet.

Tim,
I have used a Goldline Pro (PR-20) and currently a Marshall MXL 990
condenser mic with both the D-44 and the Firebox. I use Julius' W2IHY
Eqplus as a mic preamp and primarily for the downward expander (I use
very little compression and no effects).

Hi Tim,
I use a Heil ProSet 5 headset/boom mic combination that seems to work fine.
Hooks up directly to my FireBox with Radio Shack 1/4" to 1/8" adapters (one
stereo, one mono).

I'm using a cheap Radio Shack 33-3021, plugged right into the sound card

I operate mostly cw but would like to try some voice modes on my new
SDR-1000. I am considering the Heil mic offered on the Flex website.
Anyone using this mic (or others) that would like to share your experiences
with it? Having said that if someone has one that they may tried and are
moving on
I saw this on the Microham website and thought about VAC and Vsound.
I wonder if this has any applicability to the PowerSDR community?

if it were to work, I wonder if they would be willing to do a deal with
Flex?

Hi Friends
I finally understood how it works. The data on the front panel complete
those in the Setup/Transmit.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Followup to my previous post :
I tried the latest console (Release 1.6.3 - 19 aug 2006) by Jeff. I note
the same behaviour. Changing Profile changes some data like Power, Mike,
CPDR, COMP. Maybe this is normal and I did not understand how to use
this function.
Help needed.

Hi Friends
I have noted a serious problem. If I change the Profile, using the front
panel dropdown list, various other data are modified : Drive, Mic gain,
CPDR, COM. Their values change (aimlessly ?) with the profile selected.
This has immediate repercussions (distortion, splatter, etc...)
