I asked the ham to tell me how far off frequency he heard the clicks and he
responded ...
The clicks seemed to only go about 200 Hz. They had a kind of hollow sound to
them. Maybe you can listen to your signal in another receiver and see if you
notice them.
Could it be the result of the CW mixing with a DDS spur or something
similar, rather than an actual click? If you can duplicate the exact
frequency you were transmitting on, then I'd strongly second the suggestion
that you listen to your own signal on a seperate receiver.
