Hi Farrell,
When you say that the receive on the SDR-1000
is poor what are you referring to? Selectivity?
Sensitivity? Tuning?
If it is sensitivity, Gerald's suggestion of
increasing the RF gain control above 100 should
give you more than enough sensitivity.
What version of PowerSDR are you r
Sorry if this has already been covered...
Will it be possible for me to simultaneously operate both the SDR5000A and
SDR1000 using a Firewire connection with two separate instances of PowerSDR?

I have decided to part with my SDR-1000. This is the QRP (1W) version.
I purchased it as a 3-board stack in 2003; later added the RFE and the
cabinet. Heat sink is on the DDS chip, all ECOs I am aware of *except*
the oscillator temperature stabilization mod have been done.

Hi Paul,
I believe your problem is due to your pc parallel port setup.
I entered something about this in the knowledge base a while
ago. If I understand correctly, the popping only ocurrs when
you are rotating the the mouse knob to change frequencies and
sometimes the RX dies. If this is correc

Hi Tom,
We use an internal 500 MHz VCXO for very low phase noise. It is locked to
an internal 10 MHz TCXO, which is switched out of circuit when you enable
the external reference. It will lock the 500 MHz oscillator dead on to any
external reference you provide. The PLL has a 100 Hz bandwidth s
