I have installed an sdr I/Q receiver in the cabinet of the SDR1000. I have
it integrated in the RF stream through relays that allow the use of the
same antenna as the SDR1000 or it can have it's own antenna, there is a
separate connector for this, everything mutes when transmitting. I also

I used to program a CDC-160 (ppt and Friden), IBM 1401 (cards)
and Applied Dynamics AD/Four (analog).
I hacked an interface from the 1401 to a DEC PDP 11/70 (RTL to
TTL) so we could go from 556 cpi tape to the DEC's hard drive
instead of cards. Saved some trees and lots of time.

Dear FLEX-5000 customers,
I am pleased to announce that all CE testing requirements were successfully
completed today, which means that we can begin EU shipments in the next
couple of business days. Thanks to all of you in Europe for your patience
in waiting for certification to be completed.
But it is kinda cool the way the clouds roll by the cam.
Hope you have a safe spot in the basement.

I found a 'benevolent anomaly.
As a contester, cw/digital, I needed to be able to fine tune frequency on
the fly while receiving cw/digital exchange data.
Focus was the issue. Dual monitors, PWSDR on left, Writelog on right.
I have a Griffin and it WAS setup as per the setup .pdf file.

The software core uses the multiple cores and hyperthreads effectively.
The processing system is inherently multithreaded. When fftw 3.2 is
released, the effectiveness will go up again as they return to using

Just been reading the Installation & Configuration Manual for the 5000
(excellent job,
easy on the eye and very readable).
Chapter 1 page 5 gives a shipping list of items included with the radio and
mentions that
the 6/6 pin firewire cable will only be included for "US customers only".

Anyone remember the KDF-9 one of the first, if not the first, stack
machine designed to run Algol.
