John,
Apart from the Transverter issue I'm afraid I am in total agreement with the
sentiments expressed by Jim. $600 - $700 turns into £600 - £700 in the UK
with our tax regime and frankly I couldn't justify that to myself let alone
my other half.

Jim,
The dual display will be included in the PowerSDR. We still expect to
deliver the transverter summer 2008.

Re: listserver message:
Gerald is busy finishing up the second receiver design; it should be
available late January or February. The price is expected to be between
$600-700. We would like to know how many units to build.
Please let me know if you would like to reserve a 2nd receiver.
I noticed that same thing today. My CPU usually runs around 10-12% and
after upgraded to 1712, it is running 20-25%.

That is a lot of money for a radio without knobs. Oh yes you also need a
computer.
BTW the elecraft transverter works very well with the sdr1000 and should do
fine with the 5000 too. Most transverters with some modification will do
well.
I would be more interested in a SDR5000 w/o the 100 watt
transients.

Howdy to the Group...
I have a question about RAM in the computer using a Flex 5000A. I am expecting
the box to show up from UPS soon and I am hoping to use an Intel Duo Core
running at 2 gig with 2 gig of RAM to run the PowerSDR 1.0.3 + drivers By the
way, I bought this computer for this
