I would like to use my 1watt SDR1000 for reception only. Using the panadaptor
on the 28mhz transverter downlink.

Hi Rob. Heil push to talk switch assembly wired to an adapter cable to
the 9 pin connector on the back of the SDR1000. I can also plug in the
Heil footswitch. RS mike goes direct into the Edirol FA66.

With my new 5000A on order I thought it was time to look for a desk large
enough to house all of my ham equipment. Finding a desk with the size and
configuration that I need is not as easy as it sounds. I also didn't want to
spend a fortune. I ended up ordering a Studio RTA Producer Station
Hey Carl,

As an aside to using inexpensive mikes with the SDR-1000, I also made my
own boom out of a swing arm lamp from Target and unused mike parts from
a very poor desktop mike stand. I will never use a desktop stand again -

Hi Alan,
The 33-3018 appears to be replaced by the 33-3038.

Firmware version 0.1.1.12 is now available for download using either the
FlexLoader firmware management application or as a zip file (the legacy method

Hi All,
To perhaps draw this to a close...
I searched the archives to find a reference to an inexpensive mic for
flexRadios. Back on Nov 29, Carl Vangsness recommended the RS 33-3018
dynamic mic. How do others feel about it for casual SSB?

Hi Jim,
We haven't chatted for a bit, but sounds like you're having fun..
You make good points... to summarize: paying big bucks for raw
frequency response should be low on the list compared to polar
sensitivity and mechanical characteristics. To which I would add style

Hi all,
Have three questions about mics, but first let me say I'm a cw guy thru

(Absolutely true, Telephone Rd. ran parallel to Telegraph Rd a mile
South.)
Still I do like to have a mic for each rig. Just haven't bothered
