As you get longer cables, the capacitance in the line can skew the signal
enough to cause trouble at the speeds that we use. Try using the delay
setting on the Setup Form which was added to fix just such a problem. It
will make the commands slower, but it should allow you to use cables
This is due to the fact that sometimes the DSP and the hardware tuning are
not 100% in sync. Try doing this with Spur Reduction off and you'll notice
that you won't see the jump.

fine..but I appear to be limited to the 6' Printer port cable
that was supplied, 12 feet kills it, hi.
