Did you try re-installing the driver again without uninstalling it first?
Turn off the FLEX-5000. Re-install the driver, and reboot the PC. Then start
up the FLEX-5000 and see if it works.
I have seen what you are describing and the re-install solved the problem. Why?
I have no clue.
Performance, performance, performance.
We haven't seen the numbers yet but performance wise the 3000 will
reportedly come in between the fl-1000 and the Flex-5000a. I have to
believe it will cream the other rigs in that price range however.
Plus, with the continual advances made in PowerSDR it
I would guess some users might desire the additional antenna connector
options and the capability to add RX2 and the pending transverter.

As Alan pointed out, no RX2 no provisions for either internal or external

In addition, no RX-only antenna input, no antenna switching facilities,
only 1 PTT output for keying amp, etc.

I thought it was mentioned it would do balanced or unbalanced input,
depending on how the mic plug was wired.

Needless to say, for contesters, two 3000s in a SO2R setup will be a
killer (once the driver issues get resolved to allow it!). It will be
great for me personally as I have a small beach house that I was
originally carting my 5000a between it and our house and was worried

Just one note. The frequency stability numbers listed are worse case numbers
measured over a very wide temperature range that exceeds the operating range of
the FLEX-3000. The actual values will be measured and the specifications

The thing most people need to understand is that Windows (XP as well
as Vista) divides the memory in half, and gives one half for system
usage and the other half for your programs.
Sorry, no... that's not correct.
Windows divides the VIRTUAL address space in half, not the physical
address

Just bring up the task manager and watch it. You can get there either
by right-clicking in the task bar or typing CTRL-ALT-DELETE (in XP and
Vista ONLY!) and clicking on the task manager button. Click on the
Processes tab and find PowerSDR. Just watch it over time.

I've not had any success in using FLDIGI-WIN to -send- CW with the Flex 5000a.
I've tried various configs both Fldigi and PowerSDR but there must be something
simple I am missing to make it send CW (normal for me). :-) If you have your

I would think the video card is one of the worst devices to share an
IRQ with however.
If you can get into your BIOS at boot time, try turning the setting
