I use Gotompc but only for the visual side - I use a great, free
program called IP-sound for the audio and it gets its input directly
from the sdr using VAC.

Have lost speaker output from my 5K. Headphones output is OK. Have checked the
speakers and they are ok.
Any suggestions ?

This panadapter is new to me so I have never seen such a thing. There are
some severe storms approaching the area although not very close. My
panadapter display looks like the scalloped edge of a table cloth or
something. EVERY 10KHz the signal peaks and there is a squawking noise at
Usually with EMP from lightning strikes, you will see a quick rise and fall in
the noise floor that corresponds with strike. I have also heard (and seen) a
slow rise in the intensity of QRN over several seconds an then it drops down.
