Hi ,
I am experiencing a problem with SDR 1.16.1 and the new firmware off the
website(Not SVM)
At even the lowest setting of the mic gain and with no boost or equalizing I
am seeing output on the scope in the panadapter mode. Stations also report
the signal has noise when I don't speak. Turning
John,
It appears that your firmware didn't burn correctly. Where did you get the
firmware update from? The FlexRadio web site downloads page or by using
FlexLoader?
Please try the following:
Download the firmware using this link

Using the
I first downloaded 1.3.0.0 from the download page and had this trouble I
next downloaded 1.3.0.0 from the home page and it worked fine so there may be a
problem in where the link on the download page points.

Thanks, Lee.
Although URL isn't the actual problem, I did find the discrepancy based on your
comments. The problem should be resolved now.

I ran the upgrade last night without any issues making sure I rebooted the pc
and powered down the radio by removing power. Everything came up as it should
and the RX2 calibration ran without issue.
Someone mentioned a program called flexradio profiler. How well does this
work? I know there
Don,
FlexProfiler simply records the configuration of MOST of the PowerSDR user
controls and stores them in a named file. You can recall the profile from
the PowerSDR console (a menu selection becomes available when FlexProfiler
is installed). I have made no updates to the program in months so
The guy you need to talk to is Firebrick. He runs WriteLog with DDUtil and
can tell you how to set it up. I'm sure when he resurfaces he will drop you
a note.

Have you tried starting with a fresh database? The default settings should
be reasonable for the TX gain. The things that affect the mic gain are:
The Mic slider, TX EQ (if it is on, check the preamp slider on the left, and
the overall gain of the sliders), and the Mixer slider for the selected

As I noted earlier, this discrepancy has been resolved and the current
firmware zip file is now consistent.

Mack,
I see that there were a number of responses to your post but I would like to
clarify why you may have had a problem and how it should be resolved at the
moment.
We made an improvement in the DDS phase adjustment on RX2 with the latest
release. This change resulted in very slight
Gerald,
Thank you for replying with a detailed and understandable explanation. I
hope you understand that I wasn't complaining about my Flex. I love it and
wouldn't trade it for any other radio. I was just alarmed that everything
was failing.
All is well now and I appreciate all the great

Before I bought a Flex-5000a radio I used a Yaesu FT1000D. My amp is an
Acom2000a and the antenna is a Steppir 3 elements. The ft1000 had a very very
nice way to PTT the amp. This is done via a PTT in and PTT out amp key. The way
it workes is: Make a ptt with a microphone or amp. The ft1000d
