I have a Dell laptop that reacted the same way -- but I found that if I
disable the wireless network adapter, I no longer have any problems, and
the radio works perfectly and is very stable. I can plug in a network
cable and it still works without issue. If you haven't done so already,

You did not say which service pack you are running on XP. If it is
SP2, be sure download the kb885222 hotfix, which is included with
SP3.Also make sure that your Power Settings for the laptop is set to
