No, unfortunately not. The FLEX-3000 is a fixed configuration SDR and as such,
there are no plans for expanding its transceiver capabilities to 2m or above.
To get that capability, you have to have the FLEX-5000, which was designed as a
modular, upgradable SDR.

Hi,
So, I apologize if this has been asked before (as I have over 2000
unread emails in my Flex in box).
Would it be possible to run diversity reception at some point if I was
to use a 3K as my main raid and a 1.5K as a 2nd receiver?

Mike,
Diversity reception is a general category. There are several different
flavors or techniques within the realm of diversity reception.
Basically, with two (or more) receivers (identical is better) that are
frequency locked, you can do stereo diversity. It works much better if you
have
Mike,
The simple answer is no. What you are describing would be the equivalent of
taking two radios of any lineage and sitting them side by side on different
antennas. There would be no synchronization whatsoever between the two.
For full diversity, every single oscillator in the signal chain

What is the old saying about trying to put 10 pounds in a 5 pound bucket?
;) The simple answer is no.
However, the FLEX-5000 can be upgraded with the upcoming FLEX-VU5K for 2m
and 70cm operation.

Thanks to Carl, Tim, and Doug for their advice on this issue. Tim, it
crossed my mind that the Firewire adapter might have a bone in its throat
but if that were the case, I couldn't understand why it would load PSDR,
PSDR would find the radio, and the radio would transmit but not receive.
But I

Hello folks,
I am looking to use PowerSDR to work with I/Q IF data that I am generating
from other software. What types of wave files are accepted by PowerSDR for
playback? Sample size, compression type, sample rate, etc.
I have looked around, but I don't see any spec. PowerSDR seems to

Before I take
I guess I will be using the Radio CAT and not Passive Listen.
It seems to be connecting to PowerSDR just fine.

What about two 1500's referenced from the same 10MHz source? Are all
relevant internal oscillators referenced to this source?

The answer is no. The ADC clocks will not be locked, which acts similar to
a local oscillator for the IF. Also, the USB channels for the two radios
will not be isochronous. Making receivers fully synchronous is non-trivial.
