When you toggle the SR (spur reduction), do they move on your FLEX-5000?
What about turning on and off the preamp?

Hi,
I've been having some problems with my sdr5000.
I noticed a very big increase in noise "humps" . This evening I did some
tests, and now it seems that the "humps" and levels are not from an outside
source.
I've noticed the following things :

One would hope they may take notice, I had a very stiff 1/4 socket on my
heil cable and I emailed their support, and got a personal reply from
Bob... I must add I had already fixed the issue myself by cutting it off
and soldering on another socket, but like Flex, the boss does respond to

Hi, all - I have been running my 3000 for about six months now and love it
and have been using PSDR 2.0.16. I have been running it on a different
machine. I have built a new dedicated computer for it, Athlon II (AMD 255,

You don't have to do anything other than running 2.0.16. You just have two new
bands.

I use the ATI Sapphire Radeon HD 5670. It is fast as blazes, supports both
VGA and DVI (I use both to drive two 24" monitors) and the fan is very
quiet.

Hi Gang:
Expecting the 5000A unit coming back with a VU unit it it. What will I
need to get it up and running. I assume that the hardware will have the
new drivers. so do I only need to run 2.0.16 software? or do I have to
do something to the firewire drivers?
Or is there an info sheet telling

What video card do folks use for a Dual Monitor setup.
VGA is preferred over HDMI.

Flexers,
Julie Jones has worked with FlexRadio Systems for over 3 years. If you
received a package in that time frame, there's a good chance that Julie had
a hand in getting it to you. We have bittersweet news that Julie will be
moving on to a new job with her last day at Flex being tomorrow. W
I just want to remind people that Flex has officially stated that you should
not expect a functioning system if it doesn't at least have a Passmark
performance score of 600. This is not the sole criteria but in terms of
'power' it is.

You could follow the tuning steps advocated at www.tweakhound.com and pair
back to the 'tweaked' setting of www.blackviper.com but a 1.6GHz processor,
even if it was a 6 core, isn't barely capable of running Win7 much less win7
+ sdr. I think you are fighting a losing battle on that platform.

Steve,
Also disable your wireless and bluetooth in the Windows Device manager.
Some laptops have a switch which should do the same, but disabling in the
device manager is a sure thing.
Many netbooks will only go to 2gb, so you may be stuck there, and some do
not have the windows scroll feature
Dan,
If you are showing up on upper and lower at the same time, you are missing
one side of the I/Q or the stereo out of the sound card. This can be due to
poor connections or balanced modulator in the radio it self.. Have you
performed the TX Image adjustment? Also check your power out a
And "2-3 MB of RAM" isn't going to get you very far either: 2-3 GB would
help a lot more.
