[Flexradio] Flex 5000A On iMac

Greetings. Thinking about purchasing the iMac and am looking for feedback from anyone already using the iMac. My first concern is can I run Win 7 on the iMac using Boot Camp Assistant or do I have to use XP or Vista? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.. 73, Roger/N5IFH

Eric, I will assume that you are using DIGL for RTTY. 1. Open the setup window go to Setup--General--Options. 2. In the Click Tune / Filter Offsets box, set DIGL to 2210 Hz. This allows you to click between the peaks of a RTTY signal on the panadapter tune the VFO to the correct frequency

Morrice Which Virtual com port software are you running ? Make sure your update intervals in Minideluxe are like High Priority 100 Low 3000 Check polling interval on DDUTIL - I use 100. For RCP2 -5, uncheck B Cast Try it without DDUtil to try and isolate if problems persist. Dave

I too use an iMac running win 7 via boot camp and it works just great with my 5kA. I work all the modes too using various windows based software. Not too hard to set up and lots of help out there if necessary via this forum or on the flex wiki or web site. You'll love it! Happy holidays! Rick
