Colleagues, As suggested, I finally got around to making a set of measurements at drive levels of 50 and 100. The results seem to show some non-linearity (as expected), but not enough to account for my original findings for the digital modes. Here are the measurements: Band        Power (CWU,

I've posted a couple of video and screen captures of my Flex 5k startup audio problem (pulsating audio and pan adapter) - anyone else have this happen? I posted the video, not to complain but as an aid to diagnose or see if this is a common problem others are facing. I get this on every

I just got a Flex 5000 and I am loving it, much nicer than my old SDR-1000. I was running external rack gear on the SDR-1000, however I seem to be having some issues using the same gear on the 5000. Is anyone out there running external gear that might be able to give me some insight. Here

It is a known issue with the Firewire driver related to buffer syncing. It has been reported to the Firewire driver developers. Make sure you are using the legacy 1394 driver in Windows. That helps sometimes. Tim Ellison, W4TME Product Management, Sales Support FlexRadio Systems^(TM) 4616

I too ran some rack gear prior to Flex. Not the same as yours, and I still have some of the audio gear, but am thinking of getting rid of it, as it is rather redundant and no longer adds much to the audio mix that the Flex can't do by itself. Of course YMMV but I kind of like the idea of
