Maybe because the ANF notches the carrier?

Yes. When using MultiRX I have to increase the main firewire buffer from
256 to 512 bytes to prevent the "Motoboating". This causes a little
additional latency on CW but we seem to have to live with that unless
someone has a better solution.

I ran into a problem with NH8S on 30M RTTY this morning too. He was
close to the upper band edge and PSDR indicated that he was 130 Hz out

all. In addition he was working down 5 which made my split transmit

I am having a problem where using ANF when MulitRX is active causes a
"motorboating" effect.
Anyone else seen this? New bug or known problem or design limitation or ???
Please advise

Ok..thanks Tim. I was using DIGL but then ran into a problem on 30M trying

Contact Eric (e...@flex-radio.com), he should be able to sort you out by
providing you an application to accommodate situations like this; I
needed the same solution for my 5000 a year or two ago. You have not
wasted your money ;o)
Best wishes,
Nige.

I am listening to the 25mtr shortwave band now and there is no muffled
sound or any thing out of the ordinary that I can tell . Wide filter
settings and SAM mode I do notice however that when I hit ANF key it
seems to raise the gain of the signal but is just as clear as with out
it . John kb2
Bah!!!

I fear I've just made a big mistake. I've been using a SDR1000 for several
years as an IF for VHF transverter use. I decided to upgrade to a Flex-1500
which is of course apparently better designed for the purpose.
But only now that I've spent the money have I realised the major problem. My
