I leave the AGC on Med and the Preamp on 30-6 meters.
The AGC-T I average 65-80 depending on which band.
The VAC1 RX Gain: 0 (zero)
I have decoded signals as low as -28 ... last night worked all over Europe and
Asia and most signals were - 20 plus.
I am using a 5 band dipole for 20-10 meter,

I have been running Jt65 on 30 thru 10 and about a month or so ago i
experimented with AGC and now use it set to "long" with AGC-T wide open

But I set the input to JT65 by using the VAC RX Gain. I will usually

I just read a comment on the JT65 list about 'never' using AGC with JT65.
Not sure of the reason for this.
But would like to ask and Flexonians who run JT65 what they do?
Use AGC, if so why and what settings?
Do not use AGC, if so why not
Pse remember, I'm slow, technologically challenged, and
I have read the threads about the following:
* Setting AGC-T
* Optimized NR and NB settings
I did some tinkering, but I would appreciate some additional guidance.
What I observed:

The high impedance crystal cartridge of the D-104, if it is in reasonably
decent electrical condition, can drive the Line In (5K impedance) input.
Frequency response can be further tailored in the PowerSDR Equalizer
form. For the mike settings, I started with the default D-104 settings
and then did

I am trying to get Bobs S-meter and HRD to run on PowerSDR at the same time
using - VSPE in the splitter mode and can't get it to work, i.e., I can't get
spoliator set up so both apps play at once.
Is anybody have it working that can share the secret with me??

Well, first, let me expand on my initial casual comments on use of the D-104
and the Flex5000A. I have set things up so that everything is
shielded/properly grounded. I even went so far as to put the 13.8 power
cable in double density shielding. I am trying to learn how to use the full

Line in? For a mic level signal? Seems strange. How about the large
impedance mismatch?
