under Parallels. While the
PowerSDR software runs fine, Parallels does not yet have Firewire
device support so it can't see the FA-66. That's too bad as it would
have been nice to run Windows under Convergence.
Let me know if you have any questions,

is a small Firewire drive (or 1st / 2nd gen
ipod). They are very small and can easily be unplugged and taken
with you.

or the monster Dual 3.0GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon (quad 3
GHz cores!) boxes to validate this or not but worst case it would run
with the FA-66/usb solution.
I'm also sure in the near future you will see some native OS X
software to run the SDR-1000.
Hope this helps,

It was set at 100. I've increased it (all the way) to 120 and there
is no difference audible or on the meter.

You did not mention the setting of your RF

Tim,
I don't, but when I have an S3 signal on the FT-847 that I hear
clearly and I tune the same freq on the SDR and I hear nothing but
static it leads me to believe that the 847 is not too far off. A S5
signal on the 847 is clear as a bell and on the SDR it will be barely
copyable.
seen!
