Will let you know as I'm wiring up the amp keying line this weekend. A friend
of mine reported good success with the 1500/418 combo. The KXPA100 from
Elecraft looks good and with the built in antenna tuner is more compact.

If you bring up the windows sound mixer (right click the speaker tray icon)!
You can mute individual apps. At least you can on win 7.
I've tried this sound arrangement with my Flex 1.5k but I can't mute my
transmit audio - MON is disabled.

I was able to reduce this some by reducing the buffer size but still have to
keep the mic keyed an extra second to avoid clipping the end of my
transmissions. I'm also on 2.3.5 with a Mac book pro i7 and win 7 64, 8gb ram.
I don't notice this delay on my f3k or f5k with same computer. Page 9
I have tried splashtop with my iPad 2 also. Worked fairly well but I found it
difficult to have fine grain control of the PowerSDR UI. I'd like to see a UI
designed especially for the tablet form factor. But, it does work. What is
your question?

If you're feeding with coax, create a choke with several turns of coax at the
antenna feedpoint. This cured a similar problem I had with my 3k and RF in the
shack.

Regarding the question about language used to develop the win client, there is
a well supported .Net runtime for Linux (FreeBSD & OSX too I think) called Mono

Use a MacBook pro i7 8GB RAM with 3k and 5k + RX2 with ok results with
accosionaly high DPC spikes to ~3000us due to nVidia driver so I get raspy
audio issue once in a while. Using win 7 64 bit and legacy FireWire driver.

This is a bug in PowerSDR, you did nothing wrong. If you are running PowerSDR

I have this same startup symptom too, I have a screen recording of this
happening which I'll send a link to this evening. Stop/start always fixes
this. Win 7 64bit, intel i7 with 8gb ram, PowerSDR 2.2.3, flex 5k. I don't

This smells like the long DPC issue. I wish PowerSDR could "fix itself" once
DPCs were at an acceptable level instead of having to manually having to
stop/start.

If you are using CAT based PTT, try using a second virtual com port for the PTT
line, this solved some delay issues for me.
