[Flexradio] Receiver sensitivity of the SDR1000

2007-02-18 Thread Stephen Victor
Hi. I am a complete newby to SDR, and am considering purchasing an SDR1000. When reading the specifications, I have noticed that the MDS is -130 dBM, which seems to pale in comparison to other popular rigs such as the IC756proIII, Orion2 and K2. For anyone who has used these other rigs, do

I had a situation in my early SDR where the diode protection across the preamp was not present. I managed to blow out the preamp from a strong RF field in my multi transmitter station. My RX was deaf to say the least. The fix was easy put in a new amp and add the diodes. So check to see if the

I appear to have made the 1 watt receiver operate. Can someone tell me please, using the 1microvolt output on an XG1 what db reading one could expect at the moment using the panadaptor on avg, the signal peak is 32db above the noise. what sensitivity should I be looking for. Thanks and best

Is there a simple way to confirm receiver sensitivity? My receiver front end seems to have lost sensitivity; I don't hear any change when switching Preamp from "Off" to "Low." There is a slight changefrom "off" to"Med." There is an very slight increase from "Med"to "High." However, "High"

John, I Tried different versions of PowerSDR... no difference in receiver sensitivity. SDR runs several S-units behind the FT-1000D. Now that I think back several weeks ago, when turning on the SDR, if the Preamp was in the "High" position, I had to first turn it to the "Mid" or lower
