I also use the ARB-704 with between my Flex 3000 and AL-811. It has been in
constant use for over a year without a single problem. I wouldn't hook any
amp up to a solid state transceiver without some sort of isolation. This
little relay does the trick very well and it's relatively inexpensive.

I am using the AL-82 a very similar amp and have the ARB-704 between the Flex
and the amp and it works great no problem at all. The ARB-704 is cheap
insurance.

I have a Flex 3K and an Ameritron AL-1200 amp I would like to use with it. I
am thinking of purchasing an Ameritron ARB-704 keying buffer. Has anyone had
any experience good or bad with the ARB-704? Does anyone have a better
recommendation?
