I wouldn't hesitate to buy a foot switch. Heil sells a couple of
different models and also a hand switch. I've had a foot switch for
probably 50 years. Its the one antique in my station thats not outdated
and still works fine.

I have a Flex5000A, and the balanced microphone is connected to the jack input.
I don't have a foot switch, and I am not very happy if I have to resolder my
original mic contact to make some kind of PTT arrangement.

Just wonder if there is anything I should check if I want to try a balanced
microphone. Have an AKG D330 BT for testing, no push-to-talk button, and the
pre-amp I borrowed is not working. Tried VOX, but I'm not able to trigger the
transmitter. Not even sure if there are other settings I
