I have used several amplified speakers with the SDR1000. Most have
required ferrite cores (F114-77 from Palomar or Bytemark) on the power
and signal leads to get rid of the RF when using high power. Currently
I am using the Altec Lansing VS2220 speakers available from Office Max
for $

I run can 1,500 watts with the SDR and an amplifier and tuner with open wire
feed line. You just have to make sure the antennas are balanced, the whole
rig, including the computer, grounded to the same common good low impedance
ground point and experiment with clamp on ferrites.

Just tried to run the SDR with some power (1KW or so) and got lots of fe=
edback through the PC speakers. I then tried it with headphones.not as =
bad but still there. =
