Wow, what a weekend. The bands were great. The Flex 3000 was great. The
Flexcontrol was even greater!! And the weather here in Central VA was
absolutely wonderful, low humidity and reasonable temps.
Thanks Stu and everyone who developed and made the FlexControl available. It

Larry,
There is another way to get out of demo mode. Go to the
Setup>General>Hardware Configuration tab and select the correct radio. Shut
down and reload PowerSDR and you will be back up and running. Reset
database always works but you loose all your settings unless you save and

Greetings All,
I used my Flex 3000 for Field Day with my club, K5WPH 5A NM, mostly
on 40 sideband.
The main problem I had was trying to use a new UPS on the computer I
was using for the Flex. I had several hard crashes before I got it through
my thick head to change to a different generator and

Yes. I used it with an SGC-231 tuner and a non-resonant doublet center-fed
with window line. I used a common mode choke on the tuner input so that the
tuner "floats" above RF ground thus

I took my 5000C out to our club field day site, as noted in an earlier
post. I wanted to see how it would do on much better antennas than I
have up at home as well as in a higher RF environment. My side of the

I really did not think it was possible, but I love my SDR-1000 even
more. I
had the opportunity at Field Day to use a pretty new Ten-Tec Omni VII for a
while and was terribly dissapointed. It just did not measure up. I did not
like the display at all and severely missed many presentations
Whatever you end up doing you will need to be on the air a few times
before field day to get the knack and work out the bugs.

I know this is a question I should be able to answer myself, but due to
work commitments I'm very limited for time between now and Field Day...
Even though I have one of the first handfuls of SDR-1000s Gerald ever
shipped, I've mainly used it in "farting around" mode and haven't done

This is sure a nice feature of the SDR-1000.
