While in Dayton I stopped at the Heil booth to obtain an adapter for the
5K. I have been using the headset/mic with my Kenwood. Today for the first
time, I plugged the adapter into the radio, attached the headset and hand
remote keyer. The headset works but my hand keyer will not key the radio

5000A and the volume is low. Even with AF at 100 and AGC-T at 120, I
have to strain to hear. My ears ain't what they used to be, but they
