The color blue, or dark blue, over black, especially in a small screen
area, is not a good choice for high visibility.

Bill,
The power meter defaults to the upper right corner of the SmartSDR GUI's
main window. If you don't see it, make sure the TX Menu is open (2nd icon
on lower left). Then make sure the TX tab is selected to show that panel.
Here's a link to the Operating Manual which has screenshots that may

that is telling my drive power or the watts I am putting out. Did I miss
something in the book or do I have to put
an external meter myself
Thanks Bill

My apologies but I don't remember who suggested this but I tried it and it
worked. In the control panel under power options, change your power scheme

I did that when I read it a week or so ago and haven't locked up since. I

Two computers ran Version 1.8, the S-meters never stuck, the computers and

Hi Steve,
Mine runs for days without dropping or restarting.
Are you using the USB => Parallel converter? I have seen the USB
hang. Check the properties of the USB port in Device Manager =>

Gerald, my CPU usage is idling around 6-8% and peaks at 25% when I run

The meter movements in these old rigs can tend to stick from time to time.
Suggest gently blowing them out and adding a very small amount of watch oil
to the pivot point.

Hi all,
I noticed that there is no output power indication on

by those using the PA.

I'm just curious.
Ocassional I'll get a meter reading of "NaN dbm"
rather than a numerical reading. Meter seems to hang up. Not a
problem I just restart the console program and the meter comes back to
normal.
But, heck what does NaN mean?
