Understood. I wonder what the one to one relationship is between the mic and threshold setting. Maybe the threshold could be a function of changes in the mic value. In the mean time, how about this. To make it easier to set the threshold the user simply keys the mike reads the tx ambient

Currently(prev 2) the noise gate operates very nicely when setup with one setting for the 'MIC'. But, if the 'MIC' value is changed the threshold needs to be readjusted. I believe the noise gate threshold should look at 'unprocessed' tx audio. Then the compressor, compander... settings won't effe
