Yes, I've used AGC-T and AF gain to improve reception. Adjust them accordingly
as needed, AGC-T usually between 60 and 80.
Have not had to deal with pulse type noises, so have not had a chance to
exercise the NB.

I agree Dudley and thats exactly what I do. AF gain sits at 50 and is
rarely ever adjusted. I adjust volume with the AGC-T control and except
for the case where the desired signal is very weak and in the noise the
noise level is greatly reduced or for stronger signals completely

Rather than use the NR, I use the AGC-t gain, much more effective than any
NR. The AGC-T control should be your most used control. Now if you are having
pulse noises, NB is more effective.

Yes, I definitely notice some audio "artifacting" when the NR is engaged.
Running a 6-core AMD with Windows 7 64. Haven't *quite* it optimized per
the various instructions floating around, but the NR on 2.0.16 seemed
much smoother.

I seem to remember an email about the NR Function, I can't seem to find any
reply to the problem. My F5K has the problem of the NR having to be re
selected after a period of time maybe 1-2 minutes it slowly goes' to
nothing and has to be reselected. Any comments ? SDR is 2.06 SVN 3804.
