I use a Firebox as well and reading these posts got me checking around with

held scanner and as a result I can confirm that the firewire cable is
indeed radiating
quite badly. I've found two peaks a

I talked to a buddy
of mine in the recording business. He built and runs his own
studio. He said most Firewire cables are not the best made. He had
to go to a very high end one to ensure quality digital a
Delta 44 internal soundcard
I have here..
Any suggestions gratefully accepted, as the
presonus is a nice unit.

I am running with 2 computers, one driving the
SDR1000 thru a presonus Firebox the other a normal soundcard to my FT1000MP.
I had the computer with the SDR1000 turned off
while changing sound cards around. Then switched it on and the noise level in
the FT1000
on 20m increased significantly.
