Ken, My HP mobo RealTek sound went away on several systems as soon as I installed the delta44. Simply going into the bios and reenabling it worked each time for me. As far as multi-applications using the vac, I am running MixW and PSK31 Deluxe and my own spectrum analysis program all at the

Hi gang, I just wanted to thank everyone for their input on the missing integrated soundcard on my ASUS MB. I have a different ASUS system that did allow the Delta 44 to become the second sound card. The newest one shows in the BIOS that the AC-97' codec is active, but the sound card is sti

Since I have three machines with multiple cards in it, and in each of these one is the Delta 44, and in each of these the mobo and other sound cards continue to function, my belief is that it has little to do with the Delta 44 and much to do with the motherboard bios. I am sure it is irritati

The sound cards were removed, the drivers were gone, you could not select them because they were not there as an option. I looked in the devices and they were gone, the only sound card in the system was the Delta-44. I asked the PC to scan for new hardware and it would not find the other cards,

To determine if the motherboard is actually disabling the on board sound card when one is installed on the PCI bus look at the BIOS settings of the machine in question. In the case I had it would show the on board as disabled when there was a PCI sound card installed. If it shows it as enab

I believe all of you are mistaking one thing for another. This is trivially fixed if I am right. What happens sometimes when you install a new card , such as the Delta 44, it becomes the default sound card when you wanted the soundmax to continue to be the default sound card. Start -> Contro

A datapoint here - I did have one motherboard (not an ASUS) that would insist on disabling the on board sound hardware if a PCI sound card was installed -- quite annoying! That motherboard is no longer among the living here (http://www.ewjt.com/pod/20040626/index.html ), its replacement happi
