memory no Firewire card. The operating system is currently Vista 64 Bit
Business with an upgrade to Windows 7 shortly. Empty card slots are PCI X 1

StarTech PCI1394MP PCI FireWire Adapter Card - 4 Port$33.99
and installed it in the Asus M2A74-AM motherboard. (see earlier thread)
It did not make a difference. I am still getting long DPC and hangups on PWRSDR.

also, you might do a Google search for trouble with Asus motherboards
and real-time devices.. Maybe Neil or some one has a better resolution.
Since I like to buy locally in Canada I was thinking of getting one of
the following cards for my Mobo Asus M2A74-AM. The board has no PCI-E
slot. They don't list what chipset they use, but it may be TI.

I use his item #2 in my computer builds, its the TI chip also. It also
includes a low-profile bracket if you are using that type of case.
Newegg sells them for 21.95 I believe.
