Greg: That's encouraging to know. But, a good S9 cw sig can be heard 100 Khz away, faintly. Not to the point of ad nauseam, but definitely distracting. Best I can describe itsounds like something rattling around in there. Maybe all 3000's do that! Big cats are predictablethey are hard

Query: My 3000 has "phantom audio" issues, for lack of a better way to verbalize, especially noted when pre amp is on and a strong cw signal is received on an adjacent frequency, as far as 100 Khz off center freq! Turning preamp off helps, but is not a cure. I operate this rig mainly on 6 meters
