Hi,
I've used 3ds files for FlightGear models in both
Linux and M$ 2K (A CH53D model).
Under Linux the support of PLib seams better then
under M$ 2K, but even under Linux I have encountered
several PLib issues:
* Objects Names are not always recognized.
* Some textures are not loaded.
Other then

Reported cruise speed of anywhere from M.82 - M.86.
Of course it's all highly variable d

If it's not too much trouble, you might ask about "Mustang

Today I submitted a request to Shigeru Tanaka to allow his P-51D "Miss
Marilyn" to be released with Flight Gear after conversion to AC3D format. His
work is excellent and, if this is possible, it should be a great addition. It
will take some time to complete the conversion, but I'll let everyone

Hi,
here are a couple bugs that make flying FlightGear rather difficult
but must be rather easy to fix:
- some time ago (a week or two), the 2D panel ASI stopped working on
most aircraft I use (Seahawk, TSR.2, B52). The same a
Actually I volunteered to build a 3D of the Mustang a while back if someone
came up with an FDM config. I've collected pics and 3views to work with. You
got one running in JSBsim?
Best,

On this thread, someone on eBay is selling PDF copies of the original
Mustang flight manual on CDROM. It might have some useful

Hi all,
It's also one of those sounds which you can't describe or duplicate on a

All,
I have
seen in several examples that flight gear will support displays over
multiple monitors. Can anyone give me a brief overview of how this is
done from a programming perspective, or just in general? Also how do you
get the display outside of the plane in order to view the plane?

So, if I understand correctly, if I have a .3DS model of the ai
3DS files can be converted to AC3D format using ac3d. The latest version
apparently has improved this capability quite a bit. IIRC it includes
converting texture mappings to and from.
A VRML1 loader would be a great improvement so long as reasonably full support
can be obtained. Plib, last I kn

Hi all,
The documentation on creating models for Flightgear doesn't say anything
about .3DS files. Is it possible to load .3DS files for Flightgear ? If
yes, where can I find information on the format of the files, if I may use
materials etc ...
