Using Blender I added a texture to one of the sides of the borgbox, and
finally exported to *.lwo format. The texture did not appear in osgviewer.

Hi,
This is the first message of a flight sim newbie.
After hearing that MSFS was being dismantled, I looked after X-Plane and
bought it. Then I discovered that I will probably have to wait 5 weeks to
get it by mail so I discovered FlightGear and I'm trying to use it. I
couldn't believe there wa

Curtis,
Thanks for the response.
This is in fact how a number of our clients operate. There is no
VATSIM-specific code in MSFS or XP at all. the VATSIM client "joins" a
multiplayer session hosted by the user, and then pushes other VATSIM users'
data as MP planes into the client. Similarly, the cli

Hi there,
I'm sure you've all seen the news recently of Microsoft closing the ACES

Ian,
Whoa there, it's not all doom and gloom. As Csaba posted earlier there is a
bug in the .lwo handling in osg, not in fg. As he also pointed out, it's
believed to have been fixed. I'm checking that now.
What has not been pointed out is that there is a conversion utility in osg

As I know FG 1.9.0 is using shaders to render trees and clouds. May be
this is a problem.
Try to find FG 1.0.0 or 0.9.10, it can be at the same FTP resource as 1.9.1.

Curt, Thanks. I haven't used the multi-screen functionality. Unfortunately,
I don't think it will work for me.
I have some special rendering needs that FG's multi-screen won't handle as I
understand it. I need to override some OpenGL calls, which Chromium allows
me to do.
Unfortunately, Chromium

However when I tried to export textured lwo's to ac3d format in
blender, the textures were lost.

Michael, thanks.
I am trying to run FG through a multi-display system using Chromium, which
is an open source tool that replaces the OpenGL DLL to drive multiple
displays without having to recompile FG.
FG runs slowly with flickering and reports an error repeatedly about not
finding glUseProgram.
