Re: [fluid-dev] New development : system clock vs. audio clock

Hello, I'm not sure that the problem can be ignored for Midi file playback, because a large driver buffer will miss some midi events, which will then happen late in the audio stream. About my patch, the fact is that I haven't found a clean way to link the synth to the sequencer. I verified

Hi Josh, If bank 0 has a full GM soundfont, then what you said should work. In an ideal situation, since FS allows loading multiple soundfonts in any order, I think a search for all soundfonts and all soundbanks of each soundfont for the first available prognum for this substitution scenario.

Hi Josh, Also, I dont know much about XG, only bit and pieces I can find on the web. I would love to get to some of the XG docs that were available a while back. I don't know any real info about GS, since I haven't done much searching for GS info. Since I play around with some Yamaha arrange

Right ! ;-) "2. FS doesn't work well with big audio output sizes (or high latencies) since MIDI events get quantized to it." But then problem #2 is a problem for midifile playback, right ? Le 28 janv. 09 à 18:03, Bernat Arlandis i Mañó a écrit : Antoine Schmitt escrigué: Hello, I'm not

Hi Jimmy, Just keeping the already selected instrument when an invalid selection is received seems strange to me. Do you think that would create the desired effect in most MIDI files? It is a case of the MIDI file expecting an instrument to be present, which is not, right? I'm not convinced tha

Hi Josh, I do agree that the appropriate instrument should be used and your approach is fine if FS has one soundfont loaded and it is GM. >From time to time I try to load several soundfonts to override some >instruments. Each soundfont has its own bank 0. FS allows several soundfonts >to be
