page height and width

The option indefinite for page-height and width is ignored by fop , and any value passes to these attributes that is'nt a numeric value ends up a A4. according to xsl fo reference i could set either page-height or width to measurement and the other to indefinite to have the formater generate 1

Script characters in fop to awt renderer

are there any know issues or setup requirements with rendering japanese characters to awt with fop? I can render these characters correctly to pdf using a config file, but rendering to awt results in blank (empty box) characters where each foriegn character should be. Iam using the arialuni.ttf
