Finally it worked now.there was a gross error in the language of
instrumentation
the line should look like
deb file:///media/Blend/repo/ hardy main restricted

Package gimp is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean
no ultimate haina, is it based on hardy or intrepid, ok you will have to
figure that out and use that I guess. I am not sure though. You will have to
try and check

And also I doubt that you can upgrade using an ultimate DVD as it is a live
DVD which means that it used a squ

other stuffs in the sources.list file.
