I am exploring the process of getting my docs structured with the new

is much, much improved.

Hi all-
I have to publish a HUGE flowchart for a customer that has several

One of the things I dislike about Virtual PC (7.0.3) is that I can't
see any of the programs I installed using it. I've got WindowsXP,
FrameMaker 7.1 and Adobe Reader for Windows somewhere on my Mac, but

Okay, I just found in the online help that Pop-up menus don't actually
work in PDFs or in HTML. So that answers THAT question.
So, experts, how do I insert pop-up menus in my PDF, preferably menus
whose items will link to topics later in the same document? PS frames?

Hi, Graeme:
It's been quite a while since I used VPC, but I think that you
probably have installed your applications inside the large file that
represents the complete VPC system.
I seem to recall that I was able to see my Windows applications on the
Mac side, but I'm hazy about how I did that.
So today I received Frame 8 so I installed it on my test machine with
ePub 9.2 to test compatibility. Despite Quadralay claiming they are not
compatible, I didn't believe it based on something a Quadralay employee
let slip.
Test Conditions:
Frame 8 Unstructured (file had conditions and x-refs)

I've played with the pre-release beta, and now the demo, and my general
assessment is positive.
FrameMaker 8 is a base-of-platform release, meaning that Adobe threw in
the basic features it's going to develop and augment in the 8-series
line, mainly to bring it up to par with other Adobe software

I have worked with both extensively... FrameMaker offers true XML
authoring capability. Don't be deceived by a structure view: InDesign is
taking steps towards being an XML formatting engine, but really isn't
there in terms of authoring. The "map styles to tags" feature, for
example, is extremely

Hi, Lin:
FM's hyperlink pop-up menus aren't converted PDF.
Somewhere in the user guide and Help there's a chart that lists which
hypertext commands are supported in PDF and HTML.
