Hello all,
I'm using unstructured FM 7.2 p158 on Windows XP Pro SP3.
My client has several manuals that need to be updated with a new template.

My thanks to those responding.
The solution is to install an older version of the filter files that FrameMaker
uses for importing .cgm graphics (isoconverter.dll and optcgm.prf ). The
version supplied with FM8 is v 6.1.06; I installed v 6.1.01. About half a dozen
versions can be downloaded from

The latest patch from Adobe fixed this problem. Good riddance to a problem

Hmmm ... I am not familiar with the Rubi functionality at all. I will do some
reading on it - it appears to be something new in FrameMaker 9, I guess since I
don't remember it in earlier versions at all.
Thanks much for the response!

OK, be sure you're fully patched then. As mentioned, the patches addressed
some graphics handling; the right lines may have been one of the bugs
resolved, but I didn't have that issue so I can't swear to it.

What file format are the graphics? If you're using PNG, try saving without

My first guess would be that your FM 9 may not be fully patched. There were
a number of issues related to graphics files addressed in the three patches
that have been released over the last year or so:
