Hi group
When I save my FM11 or Fm10 file as a CMYK PDF, I see that the background
color of my text is gone in my PDF. It's okay when I select the option to
convert CMYK colors to RGB, but I don't want to convert my colors to RGB.
Is this a known FM bug?
Thanks

Hi everybody,
I've designed an FM10 masterpage with a rotated text flow (90° ccw).
(The client wanted to accomodate large landscape tables in a portrait document).
Now when I apply this rotated masterpage to a body page, the tables on it can
only be selected whole, e.g. I can't select single
How solid TCS is for single-sourcing depends on your requirements.
FrameMaker is solid for PDF, and FrameMaker plus RoboHelp is solid for
WebHelp and HTML Help, but it's bad for Word, wiki XHTML, wiki markup,
or plain text. I use MIF2Go for those.

Thanks to Nadine. He suggestion of Right-clicking on the frame, go to
Object Properties, and
turn the side head off and turn the columns for that page on worked.
Thank you,

How do you make RoboHelp not create a separate subdirectory in WebHelp
output for each document in a FrameMaker book? Or you just don't
I've worked in two (US) companies this year and FrameMaker was the main
documentation tool used in both. The first company was medium-sized (around 300
employees) before being bought by a very large company. We were using
FrameMaker 7.2 in unstructured mode and our main output was PDF manuals.
One clue to who's still using FM is which content management systems
they integrate. Documentum is almost exclusively used by very large
organizations.

Another is how much focus recent releases have had on DITA and translation.
The number of FrameMaker users was discussed on the FrameMaker History page
some time ago:

It seems that somewhere upwards of 500,000 would be a reasonable guess.

Christoph,
Rotate the text frame on the master page as well and then you'll be able to
select the table cells as normal.

missing something easy that would solve these issues. I would be happy to be

In FM10 you can select Format Customize Layout Rotate {Clock/Counter}

I am in the same situation as Steve. In fact I have an old eMac I run it
