What Structured FrameMaker documentation Adobe has created is
scattered in various places, but there are also gaping holes.
The FM11 help says "see the online manual, Developing Structured
Applications with Adobe FrameMaker 9," so I think that's an indication
that they have not updated it.

Hi Framers,
In v11, how do I remove an object style from one object? I do not want to
delete the style itself from the object catalog.
Thanks,
Karen

Hi Framers,
A disconnected text frame containing a TOC-level heading appears in the TOC
under the previous chapter instead of its own. The previous chapter used to
be part of this chapter; the disconnected frame was always disconnected
from the A flow (and its heading always appeared in the proper

As far as I know .. that's the latest.
It would be great if Adobe had all of the documentation in the same
place so you could really know, but it's spread out over a number of
locations on their website. :o

You can lock it down. We've done something similar where I work--created a
Word template with the styles named the same way as in our Frame template,
and then locked the Word template to prevent on-the-fly formatting. The

Nice to hear you're not going to make that common mistake.
Supposedly you can lock down Word templates these days to restrict
styles to a defined list. I'll believe it when I see it.

Hi Alastair
I just read this, have been busy lately. In case you're still looking for an

I have several frame docs with landscape master pages, and I don't
have to rotate the pages to edit the text. (I'm assuming you want
the text to run along the long edge of the paper?) What I do:
1. Add a new master page
2. Use Format > Customize Layout > Rotate Page
