By "included files" do you mean text insets?
If so .. I don't believe that a search will find anything in an inset

Lin,
I had a chance to spot check online Help in keyboard shortcuts for FM12, and
they all appear to be there.

I have tried over 20 ESC shortcuts in my use of the product and they all worked.

Rick,
Thanks for your feedback and bringing this issue to our attention. We are
already working on finding a fix for this and we hope to include this in the
next patch.
In the meanwhile, you can continue to use regular expression for searching. We

I agree with Craig.
IMHO, Microtype addons for Framemaker are great time savers (and headache
relievers). They also greatly extend the application capabilities. I've been
using the addons for several years already and they work like a charm.
Kind regards,

As a work around, is it possible to search on that format and tag it after
the fact using Default Font?
I agree that this is a serious problem.

You can add or modify any shortcut you want.
In the folder FrameMaker\fminit\configui you can find a couple of files that
contain all of the shortc
Has it by any chance appeared as a pod (not a dialog box) somewhere in one

Hi Rick,
Can you try the Remove Override option in the Change drop-down? I realize
that this should not be required. But wondering whether this will work at
least for now.

Yesterday we had huge turnout at our first FrameMaker 12 webinar, which covered
many significant new features. The session is 2 hours and 15 minutes long. I am
posting info on how to access the recording and also some time stops you can
fast forward to for specific features and areas that intere
Mike,
I will verify the correct answer for you and post it here soon. Sorry that your
Q didn't get answered. We had well over 100 Qs between chat and the Q/A pod, so
we answered as many as we can.
I believe the answer is "no" due to technical limitations of insets, but I will
verify that.
FYI
Couldn't the text inset files be included as parts of a book (either a dummy
book, or files that would be excluded from the final book)? Then such updates
become searchable as part of that book.

The new UI layered on top of the ancient one in FM9 introduced the
problem David is encountering where dialogs and windows open behind
other UI elements. It also broke many of the keyboard shortcuts I had
relied on for years. I posted a list:

My question was ignored many times during the webinar. Do the search
enhancements include finding matches in included files? Currently, the only
way I can search for strings in my books that single-source included files
is to generate a PDF and search in it.

Hi Tino,
Thanks for the helpful information. I will check it out and see if this is the

Hi Framers,
I am saving a document to XML using an SGML application. I am getting the
following Console message:
Group token (2): duplicate name or name token (N) ignored.
Any directions on what might be wrong would be appreciated. Thanks.
