structured applications on a shared drive

If you're using a typeface that has these glyphs, you can use the superscript 0-9, subscript 0-9, and fraction slash to build fractions. This eliminates some of the pain of changing font sizes and positioning, and the fractions you build look exactly the same as the thirds, fourths, and eighths

There is another way to do it that doesn't use either a Running H/F system variable or a cross-reference, but whether it can be used depends on whether you are already using both the $volnum and $chapnum system variables. Simply put, for each set of files that make up a given chapter you define
