You might want to try Rick Quattro's ArchiveES script. It collects all
graphics into their own folder and updates all files in a book to use the
new path.

Hi All,
I've used to add a list of imported graphics, and then use that write a batch
file to collect all of the files into a single folder, and then update Frame to
use that folder. Now, I am not getting all of the files. It seems like Frame
gets stuck on a single file type, such as
That did it. Thanks!

FrameMaker's dpi setting has no effect on the image.
If you have a 300x400 image set to 100 dpi, it will be 3" x 4" on the
page. If you change that to 200 dpi, it will be 1.5" x 2".

Will Frame let me format a table so it has solid column lines but
dashed row lines? I'm not seeing anything that would let me make
this, like how it can be done in Word.

I suspect that Frame pulls the top-level heading text from each component of a
book file when the component is added to the book, and then stores a snapshot
of that information in the book file so that it doesn't have to re-scan all the

I use separate templates for chapters and appendices. Keeps things
simple that way. Of course the templates are identical in areas that
are common to both chapters and appendices.

Hi,
I am trying to work out the best way to do this
I have a book with chapter files and appendix files.
The header uses the following format
Chapter 9: Running H/F 1 - when Chapter is a variable with
Chapter<$chapnum> Running H/F1 is a variable variable
with<$paratext[Heading1]>

need to change it back. How do I do this? Frame won't let me change
the heading text in a book as easily as it will the spelling of the
filename.

Keep in mind that scaling raster images to a percentage below 100% in size is
fine, as it increases the effective resolution. On the other hand, scaling a
raster image to 150% is likely to produce blurry results since you are
effectively reducing the resolution of the image. It's usually not
Hi Caroline,
If you increase the resolution in FrameMaker, you will decrease the
dimensions of the image in FrameMaker.
